29 Emergency Management Dialysis Advice When a hurricane or other disaster strikes, kidney dialysis patients may be without their normal schedule dialysis until hospitals or renal centers have been restored. Therefore, dialysis patients will have to extend the life of their last treatment by watching their diets. Below is recommended diet for dialysis patients that will accomplish that. The diet suggestions listed below are very general and may not reflect each dialysis patient’s needs. This plan includes the following information. * General Directions * Foods Allowed * Foods Allowed without limit. * Fluid limit * Diabetics * Menu for Three (3) days * Shopping List * Don’.t Forget Distilled Water * General Supplies to have on hand for Emergencies Check with your doctor first before using this any other diet plan .
