MDT Home Health Care Agency, Inc. NURSING PHILOSOPHY AND OBJECTIVES POLICY The organization believes that quality care is the result of the combined efforts of each individual. Nurses collaborate with patients, significant others, physicians, and other members of the health care team to coordinate and provide holistic quality care. In accordance with the American Nurses Association, Standards of Organized Nursing Services, we believe that practicing nurses have accountability art and a science and that the practice of nursing requires specialized knowledge and skills. Nursing service is an integral part of this organization and functions to assist our patients, their families, and the community in sustaining life and health; preventing illness; recovering from disease or injury or coping with their efforts. This nursing service will cooperate with other agencies to meet the healthcare needs of the community. PURPOSE To define the philosophy and objective of the nursing services. OBJECTIVES Establishes a framework for the professional nursing staff’s functioning. Provide high quality nursing care by setting standards for patient’s care; utilize the nursing process; evaluating through observations, patient feedback, and reports, patient care rendered; analytical audits.
