MDT Home Health Care Agency, Inc. OPERATIONAL PLAN · The operational plan is a plan for the fiscal year and incorporates the strategic plan in the appropriate year. This plan delineates the goals, objectives, and actual functioning of the agency for a year. The plan is developed in conjunction with the budget process prior to the start of the fiscal year. The emphasis is on quality of service, staffing, new programs, client satisfaction, and cost control. · The staff evaluates the previous year’s plan and assesses the current market, as well as agency needs. Based on that evaluation and assessment, the operational plan is developed. The plan is presented to the Strategic Planning Committee for review and recommendations. The final plan is presented in conjunction with the budget to the Board. · Staff members are responsible for submitting routine progress reports to the Board, in which variations from the plan are explained. BUSINESS PLAN The business plan for major projects defined in the operational plan includes the budget, with recommendations from staff as well as background implementation for the project. These projects are then submitted to the appropriate Board and committees for final approval.
