MDT Home Health Care Agency, Inc. Position is stressful in meeting deadlines. Physical activity of the job includes minimal and occasional lifting of medical supplies and charts. A desk job which involves sitting, standing and walking. Excessive telephone communications. Traveling to and from patients home when supervision of care is scheduled. Home visits are also part of the job function. The position requires the ability to drive extensively in a geographic area. Must be able to access patient’s homes which will not be routinely wheelchair accessible. Hearing, eyesight and physical dexterity must be sufficient to perform a physical assessment of the patient’s condition and to perform and demonstrate patient care. There must be the ability to give and receive information orally. On occasion, may be required to bend, stoop, reach and move patient weight up to 250 pounds; lift and/or carry up to 30 pounds. EQUIPMENT OPERATIONS Use of multiple line telephone, calculator and medical nursing equipment, i.e., glucometer, etc. COMPANY INFORMATION Access to all client’s medical records and client’s financial accounts which may be discussed with Director of Nursing, Clinical Manager, the Administrator, the Executive Director, the Director of Finance, and the Quality Assurance department staff, including medical Records and outside government agencies. Access to department’s staff personnel records. REQUIREMENTS Qualifications: Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing. Must be licensed in the State of Florida as a registered nurse. Experience: Two or more years in home health agency. At least one year managerial responsibilities. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: 1. Able to speak, read and write in English. 2. Able read assignments, follow directions, 3. Able to communicate and respond clearly on telephone and respond to patient’s spoken needs. 4. The ability to physically transfer, lift or assist patients whose average weight is 160 pounds with or without the aid of mechanical devices. 5. Able to spend 80% of the work standing and/or moving about. 6. Able to walk, climb stairs, stoop, twist, bend and squat to perform essential job functions. This Job Classification will have a Potential risk for Occupational Exposure to Blood and other Potential Infections body fluids, protective equipment will be provided by our Agency to limit the exposure and will promote self protection practices in the delivery of the Home Health Care, to provide appropriate treatment to home health care workers in the event of exposure incident and to promote compliance with the universal precautions. MENTAL REQUIREMENTS: 1. Able to concentrate on detail with frequent interruptions. 2. Able to follow, complete and remember daily routines and requirements. 3.
