POLICY DURING THE ABSENCE OF THE DIRECTOR OF NURSING During the absence and/or unavailability of the Director of Nursing, a designated relief professional person, qualified to assume responsibility in available. In the absence of the Director of Nursing and as the occasion arises, a qualified staff Registered Nurse is available to assume the responsibility. The nurse will have past experience in nursing supervision and preferably in home care. The registered nurse will carry an on-call pager/cell to assume availability when needed.
