MDT Home Health Care Agency, Inc. PAYROLL SYSTEM POLICY The Home Health Care Agency maintains an accurate payroll system. PURPOSES 1. To ensure accurate and consistent processing of payroll information and checks. 2. To maintain accurate payroll records and file in accordance with Home Health Care Agency policies and procedures and state and federal regulations. PROCEDURES 1. The Director of Nursing, Clinical Manager of Home Health Care completes and updates Employee Set -Up forms for all new and current Home Health Care staff members. 2. The Director of Nursing, Clinical Manager of Home Health Care completes an Employee Changes form whenever there are additions, corrections or changes that affect a home health care staff member’s payroll status. 3. The Director of Nursing, Clinical Manager of Home Health Care verifies and approves Home Health Care Staff Members: a. Home health care visit time b. Overtime hours c. Education hours d. Vacation hours e. Personal leave hours f. Sick time hours 4. The above payroll times are verified and approved in accordance with staff members actual work schedules, pursuant to applicable Home Health Care Agency policies and procedures. 5. The Director of Nursing, Clinical Manager of Home Health gives completed Employee Change forms to the Payroll Department by 2:00 p.m. each Monday. 6. The Payroll Department completes relevant Earnings Adjustment forms for Home Health Care staff members. Home Health Agency. - - Personnel/Operations Policies B-70
