MDT Home Health Care Agency, Inc. CONTINUING EDUCATION UNITS Reference: Fair Labor Standards Act Section POLICY: MDT Home Health Care Agency, Inc. will assist the employee in ensuring that all continuing education credits are obtained as mandated by state licensure requirements. MDT Home Health Care Agency, Inc. will offer in-services that provide CEU credits as available. PROCEDURE: A. Attendance to continuing education courses is in fact voluntary and offered as a benefit to provide current information and meet licensure requirements. B. MDT Home Health Care Agency, Inc. does not offer reimbursement for the expense of the Education event. C. This does not include mandatory educational events required by the company to promote professional growth within the individual’s job responsibilities. Tuition for mandatory educational events will be paid by MDT Home Health Care Agency, Inc. D. Employees must have Supervisor’s approval prior to attendance to the educational event. E. An Employee working out a notice during the resignation period may not be approved to attend an educational event. F. It is the responsibility of the Employee to obtain necessary CEUs to maintain a current license to practice. G. It is the responsibility of the Employee to ensure the Human Resources Department obtains a copy of each Employee’s current license to practice.
