MDT Home Health Care Agency, Inc. JURY DUTY POLICY: Employees will be granted the necessary time off to serve on a jury panel when called to serve jury duty. PROCEDURE: A. Regular full-time Employees will be entitled to paid leave for jury duty. B. Qualified Employees will receive their regular wages/salary for any scheduled day(s) spent on jury duty, less any compensation (not including expenses) received for serving on a jury for a maximum of five (5) days per calendar year. C. If Employees are required to serve jury duty beyond the period of jury duty leave, they may use any available Paid time off or may request an unpaid jury duty leave of absence. D. Employees must show the jury duty summons to their supervisor as soon as possible so that the supervisor may make arrangements to accommodate their absence. E. A copy of the summons should be provided to the Human Resource Department. MDT Home Health Care Agency, Inc. or the Employee may request an excuse from jury duty if the Employee’s absence would create serious operational difficulties. F. MDT Home Health Care Agency, Inc. will continue to provide health insurance benefits for the full term of the jury duty absence. G.
