MDT Home Health Care Agency, Inc. ADMINISTRATIVE POLICY PURPOSE Establish a policy that complies with the Federal Civil Rights Act of 1964 and with state human relations legislation. OBJECTIVES To ensure that bylaws of our organization comply fully with Section 601 of Title VI of the Civil Rights Acts of 1964 and with state human relations legislation. Establish admission criteria for patients that comply fully with the acts above. Establish care polices which comply with the acts above. POLICY It is the policy of our organization to admit and care for all patients without regard to race, color, national origin, or religious creed. The bylaws of the organization comply fully with Section 601 of the Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and with state human relations legislation. The organization agrees to comply with the provisions for the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and all requirement imposed pursuant thereto, to the end that no person shall, on the grounds of race, color, sex, age, disabilities, sexual orientation, or national origin, be excluded from participating in, be denied benefits of, or otherwise, be subjected to discrimination in the provision of any care of service. The policy applies to all patients, employees and contractors. PROCEDURES 1. All patients are admitted and receive care on the basis of their needs according to the admissions policy, without regard to race, sex, disabilities, sexual orientation, age, color, national origin, or religious creed. 2. Employees/contractors are assigned to patients on the basis of the employee’s/contractor’s qualifications to provide the prescribed care for the patient, without regard to race, sex, color, disability, sexual orientation, national origin, or religious creed of either the patient or the employees/contractors. The employee’s/contractor’s qualifications to provide the care needed by the patient is relevant factor in the personnel assignments. 3. Decisions on employment of personnel are made on the basis of qualifications of the employee/contractor and the needs of the organization without regard to race, sex, disabilities, sexual orientation, color, national origin, or religious creed.
