JOB DESCRIPTION DIRECTOR TITLE OF POSITION: President/Chief Executive Officer TITLE OF IMMEDIATE SUPERVISOR: Board of Directors POSITION: In accordance with policies and standards established by the Board of Directors, the Executive Director is responsible, directly or through delegation for the following: 1. implementing governing body directives or policies; 2. fiscal management; 3. complying with applicable laws and regulations; 4. monitoring quality and appropriateness of services and products; 5. assuring the availability of services; 6. program planning, development, administration and evaluation; 7. overall administration of Agency and its affiliated companies; 8. coordination and liaison with appropriate affiliate departments and committees; 9. representing the organization to other groups, agencies, and the general public; and 10. keeping the governing body and staff informed of current organizational, community, and industry trends. 11. development of policies and guidelines of operations; QAPI program 12. input from other administrative and service personnel, and 13. providing professional input to related administrative systems This Job Classification will not have a Potential risk for Occupational Exposure to Blood and other Potential Infections body fluids. RESPONSIBILITIES Planning 1. Participates in the formulation of a business plan, i.e , strategic goals, resource allocation plan(s) and a yearly budget 2. Consults, plans and works with the Board of Directors and management staff in policy formulation and programmatic development and implementation including staffing for the agency and affiliate operations. 3. Assists with Board of Directors in planning activities to develop administrative policies and practices. Patient Care Services 1. Directs the implementation of service goals and objectives. Coordination 1. Coordinates with the Chief Operating Officer, Administrator, Director of Nursing, Clinical Manager, Director of Finance, and other management and program areas, for appropriate services operations and administration according to the organizational structure. 2. Maintains liaison with MIS Department for data processing and record needs, including weekly, monthly utilization reports. 3. Keeps Administrator, and other management staff informed of agency and affiliates, developments, needs, etc., and encourages their participation in problem solving at the organization and community levels.
